Kayla Block

Artist
My art explores the ephemeral beauty of decay and the cycles of life and death through the manipulation of magazine paper, solvents, acrylics, monoprint, and ink.
My fascination with destroyed and abandoned places and their echoes of stories past—inspires the grungy, distressed aesthetic of my work.
I highlight the transient nature of existence, transforming discarded elements into visual narratives that speak to the impermanence and ongoing renewal inherent in all things.
I seek to show that destruction is not an end, but part of the cycle of regeneration.
